In this session we will explore the benefits and challenges that quantum technologies bring for cryptography. We will discuss how quantum key distribution can facilitate unbreakable encryption, how the laws of quantum mechanics can be applied as security features and how in the future quantum computers can pose threat to our established cryptographic schemes. We will also have a look at (using .NET as sample code) using quantum-resistant cryptography.
