Curious Code and where to find it

Microservices, Event Sourcing, CQRS, and more come to mind if we think about modern cloud-native applications or software architecture in general. And as big players are immensely successful using, and pushing those techniques, they seem to be appealing to be used everywhere. However, following without asking «why» easily leads to curious code. In the talk, we will detangle some curious choices of a real-world project, why they might have happened, and how we can build back a software architecture in that we, the developers, like to live within.
