Speaker FAQ

As published for the 2025 edition of DotNetDay Switzerland.

I need to change my hotel dates

Please update the dates in the shared Google Sheet and let us know afterward. If you don’t have the link, let us know and we’ll resend it.

Should speakers follow the general schedule strictly, or is it okay to arrive after registration?

You can arrive when you like; your speaker badge will be ready. Please be on time for your session and start and end on schedule. Also, note your attendance for the speaker dinner in the Google Sheet.

Do speakers receive any additional passes—for example, a ticket for a guest or a discount if someone accompanies them?

If you’d like to bring a guest, please send us their names and we’ll print badges. If they should join the speaker dinner, let us know as early as possible. We’ll try to accommodate this, subject to venue, insurance, and restaurant capacity.

Should the presentation be uploaded somewhere in advance?

No advance upload is required. Please email your slides after your talk to info@….

Is it possible to connect directly from a MacBook to the screen?

Yes—connections are via HDMI. Please bring any necessary adapters (e.g., USB-C to HDMI). An HDMI cable is provided.

Upon arrival, if any questions come up on site, who is the best person to contact?

Message Fabian or Manu using the phone numbers provided in the Sessionize emails.

Why is the keynote 70 minutes?

The schedule shows a 70-minute slot to include our 10-minute intro/outro. Please plan your keynote for up to 60 minutes.

What is the length of the talks?

Keynote: up to 60 minutes. Regular sessions: 45 minutes.

Is there a template you want us to use?

No template is required. Please just follow the Code of Conduct.

Will there be a prompter for notes?

There is no teleprompter. Each room has a confidence monitor in front of you, your own laptop for notes, and the main screen behind you.
